Swedish Massage is a very relaxing and therapeutic style of bodywork. It combines oils or lotion with an array of strokes such as rolling, kneading, and percussion to help the body improve its circulation. The benefits of this type of bodywork are wide-ranging and include relief from aches and pains, decreased stress levels in the body, enhanced mental clarity, improved appearance, and greater flexibility.
Pregnancy Massage is a style of bodywork designed specifically for pregnant women. Pregnancy is a time when a woman's body endures tremendous stress due to dramatic physical and emotional changes. Using various techniques specially developed for the expecting mother, Pregnancy Massage helps release the pain and discomfort experienced throughout pregnancy. The benefits are profound, including emotional support, the relief of joint pain due to extra weight and postural imbalance, and improved breathing and relaxation.

Deep Tissue Massage is a form of bodywork that aims to relieve tension in the deeper layers of tissue in the body. Deep Tissue Massage is a highly effective method for releasing chronic stress areas due to misalignment, repetitive motions, and past lingering injuries. Due to the nature of the deep tissue work, open communication during the session is crucial to make sure you don't get too uncomfortable. Keep in mind that soreness is pretty common after the treatment, and that plenty of water should be ingested to aid with the flushing and removal of toxins that will have been released from the deep tissue during the session.
Sports Massage is a type of massage designed for highly active people who engage in athletics. Engaging in sports is harsh on the body and can often lead to injuries in both the short and long term. Sports Massage enhances performance and prolongs a sports career by helping to prevent injury, reduce pains and swelling in the body, relax the mind, increase flexibility, and dramatically improve recovery rates. Sports Massage is also highly effective in aiding the rapid recovery of an athlete from an injury by encouraging greater kinesthetic awareness and in turn promoting the body's natural immune function.
Hot Bamboo massage, sometimes referred to as bamboo fusion massage, is a fairly new type of massage therapy made popular by Nathalie Cecilia. She started using warm bamboo sticks for massage when her hands and wrists became painful with deep tissue work. Using the bamboo tool gave her more strength and stamina for deeper pressure. The smooth sticks allowed for more penetrating maneuvers and made deep-tissue work easier.
Bamboo massage is a technique that incorporates bamboo stalks of varying lengths and diameters to provide deep-tissue work. (The Japanese name for bamboo is take, while the Chinese call it chu. It is from this word that the cho sticks, used by some bamboo massage practitioners, take their name.) Some practitioners combine elements of shiatsu, traditional Chinese medicine (where bamboo cups or the ends of the stalks are used in specific ways), Thai massage, lymphatic drainage, and even ayurveda into the technique, and sticks are sometimes heated or essential oils are incorporated into the massage. The massage itself promotes circulation, sensory nerve perception, and lymphatic drainage and provides a deep sense of relaxation and well-being. An added benefit for the practitioner is that using the bamboo sticks helps to reduce stress and strain on hands and fingers while still allowing for deeply penetrating maneuvers.
Reflexology is a type of bodywork that focuses on applying pressure to the specific nerve zones in your feet. Unlike other foot massages that intend to mostly relieve tension in the feet themselves, reflexology is a far more in-depth science that aims to harmonize your entire body. According to reflexology, every part of the human body is mapped into your feet. Reflexology treatments have been found to be highly effective for conditions such as allergies, headaches, and depression.
Chair massage is a popular way of relieving stress and releasing tension right in your home or workplace. You receive your massage in a specialized ergonomic chair which I bring to your location. In addition to the usual health benefits of massage, another benefit of chair massage is that it is done over the clothing. With seated massage, you can avoid the discomfort and awkwardness that you may feel in disrobing for a traditional massage. Also, chair massage sessions are usually shorter than traditional massage, making it convenient enough to fit into your busy schedule.
Relax and clear your head with Ear candling, a safe way for removal of wax build-up.
This procedure is used to draw out poisons, old wax and residues from the ear using a candle made from beeswax or cotton flax. It has been used to alleviating problems such as sinusitis, ringing or humming in the ears and excessive production of earwax. During the treatment, one end of the candle is inserted into the client’s ear canal while the other end is lit, creating a vacuum in the ear canal, which draws excess wax up into the candle, clearing the ear. a natural, gentle way to clean out wax and white flaky fungus that has been accumulating for months or years in the ear canal.
Some people have more buildup than others. Noisy professions, such as factory workers, loggers, musicians, etc. tend to have more wax and fungus buildup. People who have had ear injuries, sinus problems, or wear hearing aids, tend to have more earwax buildup.
Sometimes it is helpful to use more than one cone to obtain desired results. Ear Candling is remedy that dates back to ancient times as part of a spiritual healing ritual. This almost lost art has resurfaced, just as the medicinal use of herbs and other home remedies. recently, an ear cone client took ear cones to the Mayo Clinic and the M.D. there stated that using ear cones is fine, but felt that they should not be used if the eardrum is perforated. Most people find that they have better hearing after Ear Candling.
Some have found that it decreases or stops problems of ringing in the ears and sinus problems.
